Hi, my name is Sylvia Gail Pitre. I am located in sunny White Rock, British Columbia, Canada. White Rock is located on the Pacific Ocean and just minutes from the Canada /USA border into Blaine Washington.
My love for animals started when I was only 5 years old and my mom brought home a pair of white rabbits to breed for meat. Well, needless to say they never did reached the dinner table. LOL We lived on two acres and had a small hobby farm. I enjoyed the out doors and was always keeping myself busy with my furry and feathery friends. All through my childhood and into my teens I have had a range of animals. My mother was always very weary of opening my lunch box after school. She never knew what she was going to find. What was it going to be today??? Snakes, lizards, caterpillars or snails. Then as I got older the animals got bigger, a pair of Bantam chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, a goat and various cats and dogs. We even boarded a pony for a short time and I was ecstatic. I went on to get married and start a family. We always had cats, dogs and birds in our lives but it wasn’t until my children became teenagers and a little more independent did I start adding rabbits and guinea pigs back into my life. I also run a Bunny Club called White Wock Wabbit Club It came to my attention that there was a need for a rabbit club for the local school age children. A place that they could learn proper care for their new furry friends. I also volunteer at the Peace Arch Hospital and Senior Homes with my rabbits and dogs in a program called Fuzzy Friends & Company. |
